Stiff Shift can cease the play of the slack, sloppy gear stick ball joint housing. The use of this item makes possible more precise shift by eliminating the deformation of the rubber ball joint housing.

Stiff Shift 2.0. Adjustable version of the Stiff Shift 1.0. It makes possible for the driver to define the 'shift force' (the force to get the gear lever into gear) in wide range. Originally developed for Fast Road Shifter but also works perfectly with standard Renault gear lever if the stiffer ball insert is fitted instead of the OEM ball insert.

Stiff Shift 3.0. Adjustable ball joint housing developed for Renault Clio Mk1 and Mk2 gear stick. It works like the Stiff Shift 2.0 but it's easier to fit. It must be used with the stiffer ball insert. It can cease the huge play of the gear linkage - caused by the sloppy genuine rubber ball joint housing - and makes possible to easily adjust the shift force.

Quickshift - shortened gear linkage. Made towards shorter shift throw. The shift throw may be decreased by 10% (longer version) or 15% (shorter version) depending on the length of the Quickshift. For Renault JB and JC gearboxes.

The short shifter kit consists of: Stiff Shift, metal bush, shortened reverse-lock sleeve, Quickshift. The overall shortening depends on the applied Quickshift version. The shift throw shortening may be 25% with the longer short shift link or 30% with the Quickshift 15% (compared to the original shift throw).  The installed kit does not change the look of the interior, it looks like the genuine gear lever. It uses the stock gear knob and the reverse-lock sleeve made of plastic thus the kit does not become hot in summer or cold in winter. This short shifter kit works with double reverse-lock system, this ensures the double safety against misshifting.

Brass bushes replace the plastic, flexible OEM gear lever bottom bushes. I would not say it's a serious development but noticeably decreases the play in the gear linkage.

Fast Road Shifter developed for Renault Clio. It comes with a new, longer gear lever, shorter Quickshift and Stiff Shift 2.0. The gearknob sits 35 mm higher but the shift throw equals with the genuine throw. Stiff Shift 2.0 makes enable to adjust the shift force (the force to get the gear lever into gear) between wide range. FRS has double reverse-lock mechanism which provides maximum safety against non-desired reverse selecting.

Made of hard silicone rubber. It's less flexible than the OEM ball insert and totally fills out the inside of the ball (except the hole of the cable). The stiffer ball insert can decrease the play between the gear stick and the ball shell.
